Workshop on relational peace in Uppsala

On May 7 and May 8, Malin Åkebo, Anna Jarstad and Johanna Söderström organized a Varieties of Peace workshop around the framework of Relational Peace. Over the two days 13 papers were discussed, with participants from all over the world. The specific papers focused on relational peace in various settings and at different levels of analysis. As noted by one of the authors: “challenging how we study peace and offering steps forward”.

The event was held in Uppsala, where the participants had the opportunity to present and discuss each other’s work. While most of them were on site, some were also able to take part digitally. The Varieties of Peace core group was represented by Åkebo, Jarstad and Söderström, as well as by Malin E. Wimelius, Niklas Eklund and Nilanjana Premaratna. The other participants were:

Sindre from the Department of Politics and International Studies at the University of Cambridge
